Listen and choose
Find the song and video on the Onesie Dansie music page. Listen to a little of it together, then choose one movement: swaying, stepping sideways or moving your hands. This is an activity idea, not the official choreography. Nobody needs to know a dance already.
Make three movement cards
Draw feet, hands and a funny pose on three sheets of paper. The feet mean stepping on the spot or from side to side. The hands mean a gentle clap, wave or small circles. The pose is a comfortable position to hold briefly.
Try the movements without music first. Children can invent their own versions, including seated ones. Keep everyone in their own space with room to move their arms. The drawings help you show the next movement without talking over the music.
Build a short sequence
Start the music with the feet card and join in yourself. When the group is ready, show the hands card. You do not need to find an exact beat or section of the song. Finish your round with the pose, then pause to ask which movement felt good.
Use the whole song or stop earlier. For a second round, change just one thing, such as making smaller hand movements during a quieter part. Familiarity is more useful than ten new instructions.
A onesie is optional
Nobody needs new clothes. Wear something comfortable to move in and leave loose belongings outside the dance area. Do not turn the costumes into a competition: a child in a jumper has exactly the same invitation to join in. Watching first is fine, too. Photos or videos are not needed.
Finish gently
Let everyone choose a final pose, turn the music off and move calmly to the next activity. Keep the cards near the speaker for another day if the children enjoyed them.
