Listen and join the dance
Onesie Dansie is about moving in your own way. At home, on holiday or with a group, you don’t need to know the song before joining in.
A short dance activity
- Find your own spot with room to move your arms. Listen to the start and count down together.
- Begin with one movement, such as swaying or stepping to the side. Choose what feels comfortable; you can move your hands from a chair too.
- Add something of your own during the chorus: a wave, a gentle clap or a funny pose. Let children choose their own version.
- Finish with a last pose and pause the music. Another round? Choose one new movement together.
This is a game idea for the song, not a fixed choreography guide. You can follow the video, but making up your own moves is just as fun. A onesie is optional and there is nothing you need to buy.
When does Onesie Dansie fit?
Try a short movement break in class or at an after-school club, or use it during a party when the children want to dance. You don’t have to finish the whole song; follow the group’s energy.
