Five themes run through the show: listening and responding, cooperation, imagination, self-expression and making room for others. Tasks form part of the story, giving children an immediate way to join in. Every group experiences this in its own way. Teachers can revisit the shared experience through classroom conversations or follow-up activities.
In a beautiful theatre, the main spotlight suddenly refuses to turn on. An important performance is due that evening, and the director needs help. Luckily, the children can dance, listen, work together and use their imagination.
We discover how to bring the light back step by step. I tell the story with different voices and respond to the children. Between story moments, the audience gets moving. Music and games move the adventure towards its ending: who deserves a place in the light?
Children explore attention, cooperation and expression through play. They recognise returning words, respond to musical cues and sometimes stop moving. At other moments, they find someone to dance with. The shared goal gives these tasks meaning. You do not need to be a great dancer or singer to contribute.

Imagination: we take an air guitar from an imaginary chest. What does yours look like? Everyone can invent their own.
Self-expression and respect: you can be yourself, and so can someone else. Sometimes you stand in the spotlight; sometimes you give another child room to shine.
Children listen to events in the theatre, then help make the next step happen. Familiar tasks offer something to recognise. Storytelling alternates with a stop game, dancing and live singing. Children switch from listening to moving and back again.
Teachers can return to these moments afterwards. What helped us play together? How could you tell you were listening? How did it feel when someone made room for you?
A cultural activity, a day about cooperation or a school celebration: this show brings children together around one story. Tell me which groups will attend and how many children are expected. Ages and group composition matter, so we will discuss whether the performance and audience arrangement suit your school.

Ask who helped switch the spotlight on. Could one person do it alone? How could children give a classmate a moment to shine? Drawing imaginary instruments, inventing a new ending or trying a short listening game are possible classroom follow-ups. These are suggestions for teachers to organise themselves.
